From Feeling Lost to Finding Clarity: Why I Created 'The Well-Being Journey'
The Story Behind the Training...
|
At the start of my children’s yoga and mindfulness teaching career, my classes were fun, but I often felt lost. I spent hours planning, gathering props, and trying out new ideas, but without a clear structure everything felt a bit chaotic. Sometimes, I even felt more like an entertainer than a teacher — and I knew I wanted to offer children something more meaningful and lasting.
Over time, I created a clear, consistent structure and developed resources that truly supported children’s well-being. That work eventually grew into the Well-Being Adventurers Toolkit — a complete set of evidence-based, practical tools rooted in my experience as a primary school teacher, yoga and mindfulness teacher, and my MSc in Mental Health and Well-Being in Education. Now, I want to share it with you through The Well-Being Journey training, so together we can equip children with well-being skills for life. You’ll leave with the toolkit in hand, a supportive community around you, and the confidence to deliver sessions that make a real difference. |

“A professional resource that promotes imagination and creativity”
I love these cards! They feel much more like a professional resource than others I have. They are clear and simple, and can be used in any setting, any age group and for a variety of styles of lessons. I've seen a lot more imagination and creativity from children, and they help me reach visual learners more easily too. They are easy to use and help a lot on low-energy days! — Amanda Bush, Glow Worms Yoga |

“These cards have re-inspired my curriculum!”
Using the well-being cards has helped me feel much clearer on what I’m teaching to each year group. The prompts on the back have been a great source of inspiration, helping my teaching to be more progressive. The cards have been really well received by the children in my classes, as they are playful and interesting. I love the representation and celebration of diversity that the illustrations portray. — Jamie McDonald, Jamie Emma Yoga |

“Helped me expand into schools”
These child-friendly and fun cards have saved me precious time in planning and have helped me expand my business within schools. They have enabled my teaching to be more focused and inclusive. I love the variety of suggestions that are included on the back, meaning that they can be used independently or for groups. It’s great that they are progressive, making them suitable for such a range of ages. — Rachel Moore, Yoga Teacher |
